Issue of an optometry journal published by the GRH (marked as the Hospital Library copy). Portrait format, printed in black and white on 24 pages, with soft end papers, stapled. Front cover bears emblems of a Scottish lion, Edinburgh Castle and a saint. Contents include list of office bearers and committees 1931-32, report on postgraduate lecture-demonstrations, an article on the use of eye lotion as a therapy open to the practitioner, an article on dental disease in eye affections, notes on the field of vision, questions from the Qualifying Student's Examinations January 1932, photographs of four officers of the Hospital and a letter from Norman Butterworth on the manipulation of real tortoiseshell. Full-page advertisements for: London Optical Company (chromium plated display stands), Nitsche & Gunther Optical Co (1927) Ltd (Durella frames with interlocking joints), Kirk Brothers (demonstration centre piece with electric motor), George Culver Ltd (The Revluc Amblyo-Corrector), The Hadley Company ('Buy British') and, on back cover J. R. Fleming Ltd (Highway Ful-Vue frames). Smaller advertisements for Butterworths (Edinburgh) Ltd, Willmotts Limited ('Here is an excellent opportunity'), Scott & Madill (Union Improved Astigmatic Chart), Royal Optical Co., Lever Brothers (Kostules), The Anglo-American Optical Co (Eng.) Ltd (Rx work), Lancashire Optical Manufacturing Company Ltd ('Give patients accurate vision': Ardley Frames).
