White metal research medal presented to Frank Dickinson. Round, engraved on both sides. Obverse: In the field a portrait bust of Owen Aves facing to the right, wearing a pair of spectacles. Surrounded by inscription to upper edge. Reverse: Inscription and date, plus an emblem featuring the Yorkshire rose. In a navy blue leather-covered hinged case lined with white silk and blue velvet.
