Ophthalmic camera unit, self-contained within wooden crate with hinged lid, metal clasps and brown leather carrying handle. Hand-held camera in cream-coloured metal casing, mains-operated, configured for Bantam 828 eight-exposure film. Fixed aperture, automatic focusing with synchronised electronic flash. Includes neutral filter and rangefinder optical system, black rubber mains lead and accessories including a spare filter for Kodachrome II use, white 2-pin plug, and an empty film box for Kodachrome II with a use-by date of 1965. Together with the business card of the ophthalmic optician Keith Clifford Hall and a handwritten notebook detailing the use of the instrument between 30 November 1961 and September 1964.
