Monochrome portrait print (engraving) of John Dalton the Manchester Chemist, after the original painting by Joseph Allen (1814). Features the subject seated sideways onto a desk, his right index finger placed to his temple, wearing a pair of spectacles and with some chemical apparatus including an air pump and atomic symbol diagrams on the table. Mid-late 20th century mount and glazed frame.
