Monochrome print (lithograph). A female spectacle pedlar sits at a stall of nose spectacles whilst a soldier leers over her. A sweeper brushing leaves by the adjacent wall watches as a crucifix descends on a rope and startles a gentleman with spectacles and an umbrella. The words 'Clairvoyant Opticien Brevete' are inscribed on the wall above.
