Spinning top of wood with spindle over which may be placed seven cardboard rings/disks to which are pasted printed paper plates. The coloured plates may, by spinning, illustrate some of the theories of Goethe, Schopenhauer and Hoelzel. Together with original retail box and trilingual leaflet. Ring 1 = Examination of the brightness value, 2 = Rembrandt's quantitative apportionment of light and shade, 3 = Mixture of the priamry colours, 4 = the colour circle in six parts according to Goethe, 5 = chromatic circle of equivalents according to Schopenhauer, 6 = Bezold's colour circle in 12 parts, used by Hoelzel, 7 = mixtures of colours in eccentric rings.
