Self-adjusting 'adaptive' spectacles designed for use in the Third World. Dark brown plastic imitation shell frame with keyform pad bridge. Thick lugs with embedded high joints and screw-operated sealing valves. Reinforced drop-end sides supporting fluid-filled syringes with adjusting wheels and connected by lengths of transparent plastic tubing to the hollow round lenses. Together with a brown drawstring soft material case, a grey len cleaning cloth and a printed instruction leaflet. Contained within original supplier's white cardboard box with near vision illiterate 'E' chart pasted to inside of lid. (Two examples).
