Aesthesiometer comprising long black pen-like instrument with variable length nylon filament, issuing from nib by means of thumb-controlled milled-edge wheel. Also a black metal guard with round aperture and hollow clear plastic tube. Contained within a black leather-covered wooden hinged case with yellow metal clasp, lined with light grey synthetic velvet. Foam-lined lid with laminated instructions and conversion table card. Also two silica gel sachets. Yellow caution sticker referring to these on underside of case.
