Set of 38 contact lenses and suppuration shells (with 20 empty receptacles) of various shapes, sizes and manufacturers including Clifford Hall, Muller-Welt, Nissel, F. Dickinson, Vimax, Obrig, Hamblin-Dallos and Zeiss. Some have tinted optic sections. Also one plaster cast of a German lens. Contained in black leatherette hinged case (type supplied by Kelvin lenses Ltd) with two yellow metal clasps featuring laurel wreath motif. Arrangement somewhat disordered. Lid lined with white padding. Contents include: Muller-Welt 1922, Muller-Welt 1925, Muller-Welt 1927, Muller-Welt 1930, Muller-Welt 1935 (4 different examples), Muller-Welt 1937, Muller-Welt 1940-48, Zeiss 1932-39 glass, Clifford Hall 1939 glass, Clifford Hall 1940-type, Clifford Hall 1940-type plastic, Clifford Hall Uni-Meridianal 1942-type, Clifford Hall 1945-type, Freeman 1946, Obrig 1946, Hamblin-Dallos 1946-type, Novak 1947, Greenspoon 1947, Feincone 1947 (2 examples), Clifford Hall 1948-type (-20.00 sph), Anderson 1947, Andersen [sic] cosmetic-type 1947, Kelvin 1947, cast for a 'German lens', Vimax 1950, Ridley 1950 channel fenestrated, Clifford Hall 1950-type (+15.00 sph), Obrig 1951 fenestrated (forged), F. Dickinson's design 1950 corneal cap, Nissel 1950 corneal cap, Clifford Hall 1951 corneal cap, Clifford Hall Uni-Meridinal 1951-type. Also two suppuration shells.
