Front cover bears emblems of a Scottish lion, Edinburgh Castle and a saint. Contents include articles, letters, a feature on the Aves Deviograph, the donation of a Pascal Photoscope, questions from the April 1929 Qualifying Students examinations, the launch of a lecture programme and a photograph of the GRH street frontage at 26-28 Richmond Street. Full-page advertisements for: London Optical Company (Rest-Lite frames), John Baird & Son (The Practitioner's Companion diagnostic set/practice eyes with interchangeable fundi), Nitsche & Gunther Optical Co (1927) Ltd prescription department, The Hadley Company (Trupos) and, on back cover J. Smaller advertisements for Butterworths (Edinburgh) Ltd , Willmotts Ltd, Royal Optical Co, Raphael's Ltd (Scientype Scotometer), Lever Brothers (prescription work), George Culver Ltd, Scott & Madill (Union Improved Astigmatic Chart), Raphael's Ltd (Scientype Main Converter/consultant's jackets/Cosmoid bridges).
