Front cover bears emblems of a Scottish lion, Edinburgh Castle and a saint. Contents include articles, letters, questions from the April 1930 Qualifying Students examinations, list of office bearers and committees 1929-30, notes on collecting scrap rolled gold and tin foil, and a photograph of the GRH street frontage at 26-28 Richmond Street. Full-page advertisements for: London Optical Company (Clingswell shock-absorbing frames), Nitsche & Gunther Optical Co (1927) Ltd prescription department, The Hadley Company (British frames) and, on back cover J. R. Fleming Ltd (first class Rx service, including image of the Head office in Clerkenwell). Smaller advertisements for Royal Optical Co, George Culver Ltd, Butterworths (Edinburgh) Ltd, Willmotts Ltd, Carl Zeiss (London) Ltd (Punktal lenses), Raphael's Ltd (Silver Wing Prescription Service/hanging glass panels), Lever Brothers (prescription work), Scott & Madill (Union Improved Astigmatic Chart), Raphael's Ltd (consultant's jackets/Aves Anatomical Trial Frame).
