Collection of handwritten letters sent by the medical artist Terry Tarrant to Professor Nathan Efron of UMIST with regard to the production of his series of Efron Grading Scale paintings showing complications due to contact lens use. 23 letters on personalised note paper, mostly single-sided and handwritten in blue ink. Nine letters date from 1996 and concern revisions to the paintings requested by the Professor. A single letter from 1997 thanks him for hospitality during the BCLA conference. The remainder of the archive is from 1999 (with a single letter from January 2000) and concern the second tranche of paintings on corneal complications, plus tax returns, changes of address and the award of an honorary MSc to Tarrant.
