Past Master's jewel for a Masonic lodge. Gold coloured metal top bar comprising foliage motif that has a gold coloured metal banner draped through it, which is infilled with white enamel and bearing the text ‘QUADRAGESIMUS SEXTUS’. Ribbed silk ribbon in light blue, bearing a ribbon device in the form of Gold coloured metal disc painted with a coloured enamel depiction of a Volume of Sacred Law that has a set square and compass on resting on it and which is on a chequered pavement. At the top is an All-seeing eye with rays, which is flanked by a sun on the left and a moon with seven stars on the right. At the bottom of the pavement is a banner bearing the text ‘LET THERE BE LIGHT’. The disc is flanked by two gold coloured metal Corinthian columns that are supporting an entablature infilled with dark blue enamel and bearing the text ‘OPHTHALMOS’. Surmounting this is a gold coloured metal pediment. At the bottom of the disc is a gold plated silver bar infilled with dark blue enamel and bearing the text ‘LODGE’. Suspended below is a gold plated silver draped banner infilled with white enamel and bearing the text ‘No. 4633’. Hanging device in the form of a gold coloured metal set square with an engraved rule design on the left, a pierced and engraved foliage motif on the right and the 47th proposition of Euclid suspended below. Inscription on the reverse. Vertical pin.
