Order of the British Empire medal with rose pink ribbon edged in pearl grey. A cross patonce (four arms with three points on each arm) of silver-gilt, surmounted by an Imperial Crown. The circular centre shows the overlapping portrait busts of King George V and Queen Mary. The centre is surrounded by a circular band bearing the motto FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE. On the reverse the imperial cipher of George V. Also black leather-covered presentation case lined in grey synthetic velvet and white silk. 'O.B.E' marked on top of case in gold letters.
