Includes on the front cover, an elaborate title page featuring John Dollond, a lorgnette, a pair of binoculars and St Paul's Cathedral plus, on the inside front cover, an advertisement for Dollond's List B Educational Telescopes, plus inside, information on the structure of the eye, cheap glasses, headache and other medical symptoms, presbyopia, myopia, astigmatism, hypermetropia, optical appliances, improvements in spectacles, pebble lenses, the importance of good advice, reasonable prices, methods, danger of delay, preserving sight, children's glasses, recognition of company merit, 'shopticians', excerpts from fourteen testimonials received between 1899-1904, a history of the House of Dollond including the invention of the achromatic lens and a list of distinguished clients of the present day. Plus a list of branch addresses, a street map and, on the inside back cover, an advertisement for barometers. Damaged back cover featuring an advertisement for prism binoculars.
