Optical viewer comprising a wooden hinged combination of round glass lens and mirror, the frame painted pink and green with a turned and stained wooden handle with securing peg, together with eleven tinted engravings (some numbered, so possibly from more than one set) of historical sites in Paris and Versailles in the second quarter of the 19th century, captioned in German, French and English. Also a smaller set (probably non-original to this box) of six tinted engravings of German landmarks from Danzig, Gotha, Hanover and Lubeck. Contained in a wooden box with hand-coloured printed paper panel on the sliding lid.
