Rimless pince-nez with rolled gold finger-piece clip and fenestrated plaquets with small tortoiseshell pads. Oval lenses, with left lens fenestrated for a rolled gold chain and ear suspension loop. Contained within a black leather-covered metal side-opening case, with inner lip and dark blue velvet lining. Gold-coloured inscription on inner lip. Paper label urging annual eye examinations pasted to lining of case lid.
