1) Prescription; Army Form I.1240 (in duplicate) and I.1240B (in duplicate) made out for the optician C.A. Burdett (Dawlish, Devon) on behalf of the Optical Appliances Depot relating to a soldier, Signalman Beattie, RCoS of Ossett, Yorkshire. Includes stamp of the 28th General Hospital, Leeds. Covering note dated 9 June 1941. Also 2) + 3) Two pairs of Gas mask spectacles. Curl sides. Round eyes and lenses. The first has a cracked left lens. The second has a hairline crack on the right lens. 4) + 5) Two green imitation snakeskin-covered metal cases. Side opening. Yellow suede lining. Gold lettering on lip of cases.
