Refractometer. Reversible white metal 'spectacle' bar, joints and bowed sides. Adjustable for PD by milled edge wheel protruding forwards. Black metal lens discs, each containing one open aperture and six round lenses numbered 1-6 (marked on one eye in white for negative and on the other eye in red for positive). Flip over auxiliary drop cell to each eye. Brown plastic accessory lens rack in two halves with three positive lenses in handle section and removable section of three negative lenses. Fitted case, black skin-covered wood with rounded ends, hinged lid, metal clasp, purple velvet and silk lining.
