Historic optician's exterior sign, painted cast iron, with four screw holes in corners. Design features a blue shield bearing a silver globe, two pairs of nose spectacles, three prisms and a pair of golden mathematical dividers. Above, a crest comprising sun symbol with a human face showing through the aperture of a serpent ring held in a pair of arms with starred sleeves. Beneath a scrolled panel bearing the inscription 'A Blessing to the Aged'.
