Pair of reproduction 18th c. Nuremberg-type spectacles as adapted and then supplied by a prop and costume rental agency to the makers of the film 'Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves' (1991, for which it was rejected) but ultimately used anachronistically to represent Tudor spectacles in 'Elizabeth' (1998). One-piece brown-painted brass frame with round rims secured to the looped bridge with copper wire. Glazed with large, round convex lenses. Brown fabric neck cord attached to right rim.
