Sample NHS spectacle frame. Dark brown and yellow mottle (imitation tortoiseshell) frame with completely flat front. Saddle bridge to rear face. Small horizontal lugs with high joints, vertically pinned to front and horizontally pinned to sides. Reinforced drop-end sides. Quadra(?)-shaped eye rims, unglazed. Attached to a strung paper identity tag. Together with an historic cardboard box with separate lid, marked with NHS code and dates of manufacture.
