Stereoscopic viewing device for entertainment and education. Dark brown 'Bakelite'-type shock-resistant plastic. Slot at top for insertion of pre-prepared commercial 'View-Master' reels. 'Ivory'-handled operating lever to advance reel. Together with an orange paper instruction leaflet in French, English and German, an English market catalogue list of available reels includig new releases and a stop press section (bearing stamp of a photographic dealer in Kendal). Also 11 reels and 10 reel envelopes, made variously in Belgium, France and Italy, depicting scenes of Switzerland, the Basque Country and London. Contained in original cardboard box with lid, overprinted in black, white and red.
