Illuminated test chart used by the optometrist John de Carle and possibly adapted by him. Wooden outer cabinet with hinged door on hook catch, a glass panel designed to nestle within the door frame, bearing a reversed Snellen chart on the left side and six other tests on the right side, including Landolt rings, number plate and spot. Grey plastic flex connected to remote-control pad. Also one spare set of illuminated panels (one large and six small).
