Illuminated test chart comprising a continuous sheet of test targets on a double-ended scroll, controlled by draw strings with weighted handles, running through brass pulleys. Targets include Roman and Gothic letters, illiterate symbols and coloured dots. Contained within a black wooden outer casing, hinged to open at the front, with an unglazed rectangular aperture. Modernised lamp fitting behind the translucent chart, with modern electrical flex and plug.
