Wooden mahogany trial case rack with brass metal lift-out handles. Fixed internal rack of thirty five pairs of concave lenses in white metal frames with inner margins and minus-sign handles, twenty one pairs each of concave and convex cylindrical lenses in metal frames with inner margins and plus or minus-sign handles, thirty five pairs of convex spherical lenses in white metal frames with inner margins and plus-sign handles, eight out of an original twelve prismatic lenses in white metal frames with inner margins and open ring handles, twelve accessory lenses (two stenopaeic slits, half occluder, Maddox red and blue filters). Several replacement lenses from other sets. Empty receptacles for rectangular filters etc. Contained within a later wooden carrying case with leather handle and fastening strap.
