Non-luminous ophthalmoscope with black wooden screw-on handle, painted brass stem, two alternative heads: black metal head with on one side a clip for a small, perforated oblique mirror and, on the other side, a twelve-lens disk; alternative head comprising a simple white metal clip holding a large perforated mirror together with a Coccius clip and small round lens. Contained in black leather-covered hinged case with compartmentalised interior, friction catch and purple velvet lining. Two separate medium-sized condensing lenses stored in stitched pockets within lining of lid.
