Non-luminous ophthalmoscope of unusual 'bottle-opener' handle design (registered design). Flat Bakelite handle with small rotating angled mirror at head and maker's inscription lower down. The other side features a sprung Rekoss disc with lenses (-1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8; +1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 plus an open hole). Together with a soft brown leather open-ended carrying case, marked in ink with the initial D.P.S.
