Silver case. Side-opening. Hinged. Persian lettering on upper side of lid. Inscription translating as "Nawab Mohamed Abdul-Rahman / Khan Bahadur, warrior // (These) spectacles belong (to) his excellency Asad-ud-dowla Mumtaz Al Mulk - 1846". Red velvet lining. Indian (Probably Delhi ?) Dated A.H. 1262. = 19th c. (1846).
