Wooden trial case with recessed and hinged lid and articulated sloping internal lens tray, two revolving catches and key escutcheon. Internal racks marked with ivorine label panels,with contents comprising thirty pairs of spherical concave lenses with yellow metal rims and handles, thirty pairs of spherical convex lenses with white metal rims and handles, eighteen pairs of cylindrical concave lenses with yellow metal rims and handles, eighteen pairs of cylindrical convex lenses with white metal rims and handles, twelve prisms with white metal rims and handles and 21 accessories including three occluders, pinhole, various stenopaiec slits and tinted lenses e.g. Crookes A). Manufacturer's plate. Inside of case lid lined with dark blue fabric.
