Large leather-covered wooden trial case with hinged lid, white metal hinges, revolving catches and keyhole escutcheon. Purple velvetine lining to lid and rack. White plastic/ivory (?) labels (dioptres). Removable lens rack containing 20 pairs of spherical concave, 20 pairs of spherical convex, 11 pairs of cylindrical concave, 11 pairs of cylindrical convex, 9 prisms, blue filter, red filter, occluder, pinhole, Maddox rod and Stenopaeic slit. White metal rims and handles. Lenses machine engraved on surface.
