Wooden trial case with hinged and recessed lid, brass hinges, keyhole with shaped escutcheon and two revolving clasps. Two ivorine manufacturer's plates on inner wooden rim and a brass plaque (blank) on outer surface of lid. Blue silk lining to lid. Fixed lens rack containing 93 from an original 100 rimless spherical lenses. Also twelve rimless prismatic lenses, six rimless coloured glass filters and a metal occluder. Together with a trial frame, ophthalmoscpe and three pairs of spectacles, listed separately.
