Ceramic moulded and glazed Staffordshire ware Toby jug in form of a seated beggar with grey beard, sitting cross-legged, his hands in front of him, palms open and outstretched, wearing a dark blue coat, brown hat with band and open-toed sandals. Features a pair of oval eye spectacles, possibly intended to suggest tinted lenses. White handle fixed to his back. Hat peaks to a small spout. Irregular-shaped base with printed backstamp featuring a lion rampant underneath.
