Ceramic moulded and glazed Staffordshire ware Toby jug in form of a seated tailor, sitting cross-legged, his hands working on a yellow garment with button holes, himself wearing a dark blue waistcoat, black apron and brown hat, with a tape measure and scissors. Features a pair of oval eye spectacles, possibly intended to suggest tinted lenses. White handle fixed to his back. Hat peaks to a barely perceptible spout. Irregular-shaped base with printed backstamp featuring a lion rampant underneath.
