Includes: 1) 'Flying to the roof of the world' (Lord James Douglas-Hamilton, The Times, 4 April 1983) 50th anniversary retrospective article, abridged from the author's forthcoming book 'Roof of the World'; 2) 'Medal auction evokes heroic 1933 flight over Everest' (Geraldine Norman, The Times, 26 January 1985) describing the auctioning by Sotheby's of one of the nine silver commemorative medals, including biographical detail of the expedition's funder, the widowed Lady Houston; 3) 'For sale: the moment man first looked down on Everest' (John Shaw, The Times, 12 April 1995) describing the auctioning by Christie's of eight original photographs from the expedition taken by Colonel L. V. S. Blacker; 4) 'Pioneers who gazed down on Everest' [Daniel Martin, The Times, 5 May 1998] reporting on the limited edition reprinting from the original negatives of twenty photographs from The Times Archive, in conjunction with the Discovery Gallery. 5) A copy of the Discovery Gallery catalogue 'Photographs from the Houston Mount Everest Expedition 1933.
