tortoiseshell; metal; brass

Folding lorgnette. Yellow metal frame. Vertically hinged fenestrated and sprung bridge. Short tortoiseshell handle with straight sides, spring release catch and flange to hold in fixed position. Small rounded metal plate inset on one side of handle. Rigid oval suspension loop at foot of handle. Rectangular eye rims, unglazed.
