Spring lorgnette. Bronze-coloured metal with only traces of very worn yellow finish, possibly gold-plated brass? Solid bridge hinged at both ends. Long thin round-section handle (possibly with spring release collar, but that is seized up if so), and flange to hold in folded position. Decorative embellishment of snake, its body encitcling the handle, its eyes studded with red stones. Large fixed suspension ring with chased decoration. Round eye rims, unglazed.
