Monochrome print (etching) of a French cockerel and a Dutch dog (keeshund) in military uniform. The dog wears nose spectacles which are being held in the beak of the cockerel, the inference being that he is being taken in. On the ground are various pamphlets about expected French support for the Dutch patriot revolt. In a modern gilded wooden frame with fleur-de-lys corners. Glazed.
