Rakusen OD, DOS relating to his studies during the mid 1930s into the history of Chinese spectacles. Red binding with gold-coloured lettering on front cover. Includes Dr Rakusen's business card pasted to the inside front cover, a typescript of 'Etiology of myopia' by C. Hyatt Wollf, a reprint of the article 'Spectacles, Legendary and Historical' by Charles King Haynes OD (AJO 9 1), 'Further Notes on Chinese Astronomy' by Herbert Chatley, 'How Optical Glass is made' (Optician 25.10.1935), correspondence with Charles Haynes, Wu Lien-Teh, Herbert Chatley, Henry Huizinga, Arthur de C Sowerby, Dr K.
