Framed wooden display box containing four pairs of 19th c. and early 20th c. pince-nez and four pairs of 19th c. spectacles, arranged in two columns. Red velvet background with handwritten paper labels. Mahogany. Glazed. Contents: (i) Canadian Folder, steel with blued steel spring clip. (ii) 'Oxford' rimless pince-nez with steel spring clip and shaped nasal portion. (iii) astig, gold-filled. (iv) rimless finger-piece pince-nez with PRO lenses. (v) Blued steel pantoscopic spectacles. (vi) Straw steel oval eye spectacles. (vii) Three-piece gold-filled rimless spectacles with curl sides and oval lenses. (viii) '20:20' gold-filled oval eye spectacles with W-bridge and curl sides.
