Front cover bears emblems of a Scottish lion, Edinburgh Castle and a saint. Contents include articles on the Eyelid retractor and codes of ethics, promotion for a Practical Optical Bench Class, list of office bearers and committees 1929-30, a photograph of Traquair's Perimeter. Full-page advertisements for: London Optical Company (4 new items: measurement rule, Inleigh frame, Linfield Kerascope, Illustrated List of Spectacle Frames and Mounts), Nitsche & Gunther Optical Co (1927) Ltd prescription department, The Hadley Company and, on back cover J. R. Fleming Ltd (first class Rx service, including image of the Head office in Clerkenwell). Smaller advertisements for Royal Optical Co, George Culver Ltd, Butterworths (Edinburgh) Ltd, Willmotts Ltd, Raphael's Ltd (Silver Wing Prescription Service), Lever Brothers (prescription work), Scott & Madill (Union Improved Astigmatic Chart).
