Issue of an optometry journal published by the GRH (marked as the Hospital Library copy). Portrait format, printed in black and white on 24 pages, with soft end papers, stapled. Front cover bears emblems of a Scottish lion, Edinburgh Castle and a saint. Contents include list of office bearers and committees 1930-31, notes on cycloplegics, an article on muscle training and the cure of strabismus, notes on the field of vision, photographs of four officers of the Hospital, and correspondence. Full-page advertisements for: London Optical Company (Maddox Wing Test and Dickinson Record Book), Nitsche & Gunther Optical Co (1927) Ltd (Punctiform Torics - 'Punctiscus' Lenses), Kirk Brothers (charming display model), George Culver Ltd, Willmotts Ltd ('Wertex' cases with 'Nilfrey Edge', i.e. inner lip), The Hadley Company (Hadley Central Trupos Ranelagh) and, on back cover J. R. Fleming Ltd (first class Rx service, including image of the Head office in Clerkenwell). Smaller advertisements for R. Archer & Sons Ltd (Improved Phoroptometer), Scott & Madill (Union Improved Astigmatic Chart), Royal Optical Co, R.
